David Quandt 

VP, Head of Sales 

David Quandt is the Vice President and Head of Sales at HealthNEXT. He is a trusted advisor to the CEO and the board and is recognized for developing effective go-to-market strategies that have resulted in increased market share and profitability. With nearly 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, David has worked in emerging markets both as an individual contributor and as a key member of Sales and Marketing teams involved in go-to-market initiatives. 

As a sought-after thought leader, David has been a guest educator for several years in the Master’s Health Administration program at Xavier University. He has co-authored white papers and publications on healthcare services and solutions to meet the needs of employees across all generations. David has also provided consulting services to Fortune 100 international companies, national labor organizations, higher education institutions, health plans, and public systems. Additionally, he serves on the boards of two non-profits: Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) and Off the List.

Yuming Shen

VP, Head of Product

As HealthNEXT’s VP, Head of Product, Yuming drives the company’s product vision and strategy, ensuring seamless execution of key initiatives. She views her mission as creating a secure, user-centered portal that empowers clients to achieve a sustainable culture of health. 

Before joining HealthNEXT, Yuming was the Director of Product Management at Archetype, a consulting and investment firm, where she led cross-industry product development and strategic initiatives. She has spearheaded multiple digital transformation projects, guiding companies from service-based models to product-driven success. Notable projects include launching a teledentistry platform for a major dental insurer, introducing a direct-to-consumer telemedicine solution for a B2B primary care service, and redesigning an insurance SaaS platform to unlock new revenue opportunities. 

Yuming holds a Master of Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Finance and Actuarial Science from NYU Stern School of Business.

Ivor Kiwi

Ivor Kiwi

VP, Head of Operations

Ivor is responsible for building organizational processes and delivering on HealthNEXT’s mission to help client companies develop sustainable and enduring cultures of health. He has worked with many components of the healthcare supply chain and has experience in streamlining operations, process improvement methodologies, and healthcare consulting.

Prior to joining HealthNEXT, Ivor served as managing director of Vitori Health, where he was a founding member of the start-up team which built a health plan centered around alternative provider reimbursement to reduce health care costs for companies and their employees. Prior to that, as a consulting director for a national risk management firm, he consulted with clients to streamline procurement and implement cost-effective solutions. Ivor also led a health management consulting department at a regional benefits consulting firm. And at Kaiser Permanente, he led initiatives to improve clinical operations and positioned provider offices to be recognized as Patient Centered Medical Homes. His experience at other organizations centered on implementing programs addressing absence and disability, wellness, and disease management, as well as occupational and primary care workplace healthcare clinics and fitness centers. Ivor enjoys continually learning more about process improvement techniques and has received multiple certifications in Lean Six Sigma.

Chief Operations Officer

As COO, David Kirshenbaum puts his vast experience in healthcare operations and information technology to use overseeing the day-to-day activities of HealthNEXT and its interactions with clients. In addition to being COO of HealthNEXT, he is the president and founder of West End Associates Consulting, a healthcare management consulting company with clients in all sectors of the healthcare industry, and the CEO of Equity Health Partners, a service and systems company that operates software and services that support medical home operations. Before joining HealthNEXT, David was the Vice President of Enterprise Information Management at WellPoint. He also served as president of two independent subsidiaries of Aetna – Intelihealth, a healthcare content Web company, and USQA, an informatics company serving internal Aetna operations, the pharmaceutical industry, and government agencies such as the CDC and NIH. In addition, David has held the positions of Senior Vice President of Claim and Member Service systems for both Equicor and CIGNA, and the head of business development for Medscape/Medicalogic, an EMR company now owned by GE Healthcare for which he built a clinical data company. David received his graduate degree from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business in New York, NY and his undergraduate degree from Clark University in Worcester, MA. He is currently a senior fellow at Jefferson School of Population Health, Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.

Thomas Lundquist, MD, MMM, FAAP, FACPE

Thomas Lundquist is CEO and leads the team at HealthNEXT in advancing the corporate cultures of health, safety, and employee wellbeing for companies desiring competitive advantage worldwide. As the marketplace awakens to the importance of employee health & wellbeing, Lundquist is setting strategy and furthering operational capability to position HealthNEXT as the preferred partner enterprises engage with nationally and internationally to achieve results and excel in workforce productivity & wellbeing.

Lundquist has served as an innovative, transformative & results-based executive leader within health systems, health plans, and start-up technology companies across his career, always striving to improve the lives of patients, as well as create value for the true payers of healthcare and sick care, those being employers, individuals and state & federal payers. Dr Lundquist is an experienced senior executive with nearly 30 years of progressive, strategic, operational & fiscal leadership across various healthcare sectors, working successfully in venture capital-backed start-ups, growth phase early innovative companies, front line health care systems operations, integrated healthcare delivery systems, pharmacy network and distribution operations, large hospital networks, managed care organizations, large self-insured national and international employers, and state and county governmental agencies. Most recently, he has successfully served as Chief Medical Officer, Highmark Health Plans and as Chief Medical Officer for Sentara Health Plans. Through his company, Vital Insights LLC, Lundquist has also advised various innovative and disruptive point solution companies across the healthcare industry ecosystem, as well as health plan, health systems and provider groups focused on value-based care.

Lundquist received his undergrad degree at Penn State, his MD at Johns Hopkins and his master’s from Carnegie Mellon.  He served on the faculty at the Heinz School of Public Policy & Management at Carnegie Mellon teaching courses in Health Care Quality and Executive Leadership for nearly a decade at Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz School. Lundquist has served and continues to serve on numerous Board of Directors. He is an avid road cyclist and swimmer, competes in occasional 70.3 triathlons and is a novice surfer.

R. Dixon Thayer

Co-Founder and Managing Board Member

Dixon Thayer provides leadership, directs strategic planning, and oversees the operations and business growth of HealthNEXT. During his previous role as the Chief Executive Officer of I-trax, Inc. (AMEX: DMX), I-trax established itself as the pre-eminent leader in on-site workplace health and wellness services, with over 100 clients including Toyota, GE, Goldman Sachs, Johnson & Johnson, Lowes, and Disney. Dixon has held several senior leadership positions in large and small organizations in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America during critical times of change. As a personal advisor, Dixon helped the CEO of Kellogg’s restructure and revitalize the company for more growth, aided the senior partners of Pricewaterhouse Coopers in their pursuit of value added services, and assisted the senior executives of Bank of America in the development of organic growth strategies.  

Dixon has served on the executive faculty of the Duke Corporate Education Center and is Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of the Kieve-Wavus Education Foundation. 

Dixon received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He has also been a senior fellow at Jefferson School of Population Health, Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Dixon lives with his wife on their horse farm in Unionville, PA; enjoys riding, skiing, sailing and travel with his wife and two grown boys.
